Compared to the B series the parts are hollow and there is less reinforcing around the side of the lock. The cylinder has fewer pins as well so it can't be rekeyed to match a B series. When I originally installed this lock it worked fine, but then the key wouldn't come out one day unless the door was locked. It would not remove if the deadbolt if unlocked. Anyways, it turns out when I had a painting contractor here doing some work they removed the dead bolt and reinstalled the thing incorrectly. Oddly, it's difficult to tell if it is installed wrong visually, but when I took it apart I realized what had happened. I just had no idea anyone had removed the lock at all. The lock seems to work fine, it's decent quality, but leaves a little to be desired. Not bad for the price though. Original review: I have to assume I got a defective unit although this issue didn't really present itself until after my return period. Simply put, I can't remove the key from this unit when the door is locked.....kind of defeats the purpose.
